“Artistic performance is the action of an individual or group in a specific place and moment in time. It can happen anywhere, for an indeterminate duration, and often involves a significant element of improvisation. Generally, performance art consists of four key components: space, time, the performer’s body, and the relationship between performer and spectator. Unlike a painting or sculpture, where the work resides in the object, performance art is embodied in the subject—the artist’s body.
My intention is for the public and me to jointly constitute the work, creating a shared space where the distinction between us dissolves. I believe art bridges the gap created by my disconnection from the cultural milieu. In my art, I feel part of a world—a world I have created. Involving others in my work not only validates my presence but also forges connections within the space I inhabit.
The unpredictability of audience reactions is one of the main reasons I am drawn to performance and interactive art. It is this sense of intrigue and spontaneity that drives my passion for the medium.”
